I'll admit, those Jonas brothers are totally dreamy. I can see why 12-year-old girls across the world love those promise ring wearing heartthrobs. They're almost as great as Hanson, and certainly better than The Naked Brothers Band. It's just a shame that their first video game is ugly, boring, and creepy.
The Jonas video game is based on the TV show Jonas, a sitcom starring the Jonas Brothers, who play the Lucas brothers, who are in a band called Jonas. Basically it's a kid friendly version of Flight of the Conchords, but minus all the things that make that show funny.
The game is broken into six parts that mimic an episode from the show. Players control Nick, Kevin, or Joe, switching between them on command. Since Jonas is based on the show, the brothers are in character. So Joe is a shallow ladies man, Nick is level headed and responsible, and Kevin is the dumb one.
Each episode has players running between home and school, with an additional couple levels thrown in, like inside the massive walk in closet, or running through the mall. The levels somehow look nearly identical. The mall, the high school, the back of a store, and a huge mechanical closet may as well be the same place. Nearly the entire game is played with the stylus, so players guide the JoBro of their choice through the levels, using their guitars to unlock doors or avoid paint spills that might ruin their clothes.
